The Summer Season

Summertime is our busiest time of the year.  We are committed to auctions at Christies and Sothebys over the forthcoming months, and this year we will also be shipping a large container to Paris for auction at the end of June.

In addition clients and customers turn their interest towards their gardens and are on the look out for rare and interesting garden furniture, statuary and water features to complement their homes.  We are kept busy organising our auction runs, and sourcing and supplying our clients with high quality architectural antiques for their homes and gardens.

Surprisingly we have seen a surge in demand for good quality chimneypieces, stoves and fire surrounds.  This is unexpected as our busy period for these items is normally as autumn strikes and client's turn their attention inwards.  It seems with the down turn in the economy more people have decided to stay put and renovate rather than move home, and our range of 'fire furniture' has proven popular.

Many of the best architectural antiques we source never reach our website.  They are either sold or consigned to auction almost as soon as they arrive with us.  The only visibility of these pieces is through our Newsletter which we send out every other month to a select group of clients and contacts in the trade for special preview.  If you wish to be considered as a recipient of our Newsletter please visit our website and register with us, or alternatively email us at info@wishlistantiques.co.uk.  We never send junk mail and we keep our Newsletter to every other month to help keep our customers happy!

Below are just a few images of the unseen pieces we have sold through specialist auctions or privately to the customers and trade who receive our Newsletter.

Avoid missing out on future architectural gems by signing up for our Newsletter.  You will receive it straight to your mail box every other month.

We have made the decision to stop attending Arthur Swallow's regular antiques fair at Lincolnshire Showground.  Whilst we loved the atmosphere and the networking the fair provided, we are now at a stage where our range of architectural antiques are not suitable for the show.  We would like to thank all of the regular buyers who have dropped by to see us in Marquee 17 over the past six months.  We hope you will remain in contact with us as no doubt we will have further items of interest for you.  Visitors are always welcome to stop by our premises in Solihull, UK, for a cup of tea and a browse through our latest collection by prior appointment, and as mentioned above we are happy to keep you up to date via our Newsletter with new pieces we are add to our range.  Please let us know if you require a copy.

Wishing everyone a healthy, happy and hot summer.
